John Holland www.johnholland.com
Publisher: Hay HouseInterviewed By: Donna Gray 9/22/2005 John Holland, author of “101 Ways To Jump-Start Your Intuition” met up with my husband and I at a Starbucks in New England. After a quick hello and an update on the news since our last interview, John led us through some cobblestone streets to a quaint waterside restaurant where we visited over lunch. I was so excited to talk with John about this new pocket sized book that’s just chock full of tips that all of us need to know and remember, a reminder of how easy it is to tap into our own inner guidance. John, who spent some time studying at Arthur Findley College in England, along with honing his psychic medium skills in spiritualist circles, remembered that in the early years there weren’t as many books to read and fewer places to go to get the experience and support needed to work at this life mission, and thus educating others about these gifts became part of his mission. One needs no special gifts to read, understand and enjoy John’s books, and this new one is no exception. His favorite tip of all 101 is the last, “Believing in yourself”. “To live an intuitive life, you must believe and know that you’re equipped with all the tools you need.” John wrote this book as a “primer” to show readers that their own intuition is easy to access, He says that those seeking to develop and/or sharpen their psychical senses can begin by sharpening their physical senses first. John believes that all people have psychic abilities in different degrees. He stresses that one has to learn to balance the spiritual, emotional and physical senses so that energy is there when needed. Now, constantly busy with seminars, teaching, and private and group readings, John is working on yet another book designed to help those of us struggling with defining and increasing our senses of spirituality.
If this humble interviewer had to choose just one of the 101
Ways To Jump-Start Your Intuition” I’d go right for # 1
Trust “I trust myself and my intuition.” As John’s book
says, “So trust…and give yourself permission to explore,
play, and develop your intuitive ability so that you can see
yourself – and the world – in a way you never thought
possible.”
