Ms. Chaze, like paranormal novelist Maggie Shayne, is an authority on magic and her prose reflects that knowledge without losing the proper amount of engaging creative license and spectacular special effects. Those interested in the paranormal will appreciate the authenticity of some of the finer details of magic embedded the story line.
