  • If you thought you'd seen it all, you were just about right--until NOW: Forget the watered-down, pre-sweetened romance novels that seem to be carbon copies of one another. There's a new sheriff (or pilot?) in town... and her name is E.K. Barber!

E.K. Barber seems to have little regard for what's customary, which is probably what makes her great. Her first book, Flight Into Danger, landed this first-time author on the front page of a newspaper in Florida, a magazine in Wisconsin, and created a media buzz from coast to coast! What's all the excitement about? Read on!

For one, the heroine of Flight Into Terror, Skyler Madison, is a bright, independent, accomplished woman--an experienced airline pilot who moonlights as a Special Agent for the Justice Department's intelligence-gathering division. Have no fear; this really is a story of love and romance, the kind that only a true master-novelist like E.K. Barber can tell! Her characters are compelling; they come to life; you live their adventures, you hear their laughter, and you feel their love. I never thought a tale of true love could fit so well with a story of breath-taking action and adventure. I also never thought E.K. Barber's second book, Flight Into Terror, could ever be as good as its predecessor, Flight Into Danger--but I sure was wrong! If you haven't read them both, try them without hesitation!

I was lucky enough to run into one of E.K. Barber's book signings at one of the largest Barnes and Noble bookstores in the country, and I walked away with several books for family and friends. Interestingly enough, the author is not unlike her heroine; I felt as if I were standing right in front of Skyler herself. It's that personal touch that makes E.K. Barber's books believable, exciting, and heart-warming all at once.

Flight Into Terror is full of suspense and action--but it's exactly that frantic, danger-filled lifestyle that eventually takes an emotional toll on Skyler's relationship with Alex, the man she's passionately in love with. Is this a love that's doomed? Should Skyler walk away while she still has the chance? Even when E.K. Barber's books are made into movies with Jodi Foster and Harrison Ford, you'll still think the book was better! Flight Into Terror is nothing short of terrific!
