It¡¦s so hard to believe that you can make a difference when the odds seem so overwhelming. And yet Elli, Tamwyn, and Scree did just that in this finale to The Great Tree of Avalon series. They set off in separate directions to follow their hearts and do what is right not only for their people but for Avalon. They encounter surprises and face great personal challenges all along the way to the final battle. This is the series to read for anyone who believes that what they do doesn¡¦t make a difference. Every kindness, every contact can make a difference when the going gets tough. And, sometimes the smallest creature can make the biggest impact when the battle ensues. T.A. Barron is masterful at weaving Elli, Tamwyn and Scree¡¦s stories into the fabric that will eventually pull together for the mighty battle against evil. You want to believe that a world like this can exist where each creature, great and small, has an important place and role in the overall well being of that world. Maybe some day that can happen here¡K.
