  • Fair warning! The enticing investment that promises no-risk profit may be riskier than you think. Marsha Bertrand has gathered an imposing array of evidence on the various methods of fraud. The creative schemes and approaches developed by con artists are astonishing. They study the weak points of their targets with no room for compassion or regret in the heart of these destroyers of trust.

The exposure of their ploys for bilking the victims of their greed would be amusing - if it were not so tragic for their victims. Older people and retirees on a fixed income are especially vulnerable to the enticing promises of investments which are supposed to yeild great profits.

Unhappily too many of the people who are fleeced by these unscrupulous criminals are often too embarrassed to report losses by these frauds. It is to be hoped that this book will be read by any possible future victims. Ms. Bertrand has done an impressive public service in compiling these true accounts of fraud.
