The 28 executives, consultants and writers share their wisdom and experience on the challenge, and necessity, of blending the worlds of commerce and human consciousness. The ambitious goal of this material is recharging our work with soulfulness, bringing new life to our work and having a complete human being who goes to work everyday rejoicing in the soulful experience of meaningful work, and it does much toward this end. This compelling book covers five key areas: 1) Human experience at work, 2) Metaphors for transformation, 3) Rediscovering our souls through work, 4) The organizational perspective and 5) Applying all the learnings.
My favorite section is Applying All The Learnings. It does
an excellent of taking these abstract ideas and teaching us
to use them in concrete and pragmatic ways. Applying
suggests ways to integrate mind, body, heart and soul, so
that we can, as Gandhi said ôBe the changes we wish to see
in the world.ö
