Briana Kilmer gets more than she bargains for when she begins to write a book about an unsolved murder which involves a serial killer who leaves no clues or evidence. She posts the first three chapters to an online e-mail group that she belongs to with not much of a response, just encouragement to continue. Then she posts the second installment and her whole world is turned upside down, in a terrifying way. Hank Devereaux is a retired California State Patrolman and Briana's online friend. They have been pals for about a year now and have learned a lot about each other. When Briana's world is threatened he immediately flies to Illinois to help and protect her. What he doesn't bargain for is that he may lose his own life. TRAPDOOR is fast-paced, flows smoothly and is full of action, suspense, thrills, terror and much more. Everytime you think you might have a clue as to who the killer is, Ms. Overton throws in something else to make your thoughts head in another direction. There are unexpected twists and turns that adds to the excitement and thrills. The characters are full and believable people that you can easily picture and relate too. Review by:
