    This book has something for everyone---beautiful photographs of the quilts, textiles, landscapes, people and art you can find across this large and hugely diverse continent. For the quilt enthusiast, there are 16 patterns for vividly colored, pieced and appliquT quilts, as well as some tips and shortcuts. The authors also include information on individual countries, everything from tribes, crafts and religious beliefs and practices specific to different areas.

    This book is a bit of a mixed bag, providing a great introduction to anyone interested in learning more about Africa and some beautiful new ideas for using textiles or making quilts with an African theme.
