  • The millennium is coming to an end and many people flock to the holy land expecting a miracle to occur. TV news reporter Jonathan Feldman, stationed in Jerusalem, finds the religious ramblings of many, just a lot of bull ****. His cynical world is suddenly shocked when an earthquake strikes Jerusalem on New YearÆs Eve.

At around the same time, an Israeli lab, researching genetic engineering, is enigmatically destroyed with only one survivor. Concurrently, a woman, Jeza has emerged from out of Negev, claiming to be the new messiah. Jeza travels the holy lands, successfully seeking converts. Her message soon rapidly spreads as the media allows her full access to the masses. As forces supporting and opposing Jeza prepare for Armageddon, Jonathan wonders if she is the second coming or the beginning of the end.

THE LAST DAY is the first great millennium thriller (hopefully more are coming before the end of the millennium) to reach the market that will be remembered three decades from now. The novel combines theology and science into an incredible, yet very credible mind journey. It is hard too believe that a debut novel can be so well written that it will reminds fans of the sixities classic doomsday novels and movies like DR. STRANGELOVE and FAIL SAFE. Readers will enjoy this nineties thriller that may be the best doomsday novel of the decade.
