After trudging through a dozen or so mediocre murder mysteries, I had almost given up on finding a book that could excite and inspire me. Then I picked up this brilliantly written novel. Overshoot is the story of our world in the not so distant future. A world of global warming and un-natural/natural disaster, and a group of 80 year old ex-yuppies in their struggle for survival. It scared me to see the images that came straight out of today's newspaper. It thrilled me to see that as far as we have gone to destroy our planet, there is always hope. PLEASE. READ THIS BOOK.
