  • This first effort by Paul Vincent shows a glimmer of the genius his work is destined to become. Rarely have I seen a book written from a more original point of view.

Meet the Hormones is the story of an ordinary married couple. Middle class and boring, he's considering an affair; she's indifferent, argumentative and distracted. Their hormones are in complete control of their lives, and, fortunately for us, the book.

The book is written from the hormonesÆ point of view, and it is delightful, funny, vicious, and eye opening. Each of the hormones, from testosterone to adrenaline, is given its own distinct voice and they interact with each other, and occasionally other peopleÆs hormones, with a clarity and frankness that is completely missing in the humans they appear to control.

Brilliant and witty, I recommend reading this book before Hollywood gets a hold of it and completely mucks it up.
