  • In 1887 on the India side of the Himalayas, Dr. John Eliot investigates a strange blood disease that destroys the brain and body. The natives believe that the deadly illness is caused by the Goddess Kali, allegedly residing in the town of Kalikshutra. However, what he sees on the road horrifies John, who races back to London to find a missing friend.

In London, John, accompanied by Bram Stoker, finds the city is even more horrible than anything he saw in Asia. While on his mission, John meets the beautiful temptress Lilah, whose plan is to tempt John into releasing his dark side. SLAVE OF MY THIRST is an intriguing vampire tale that, though it follows the folklore, is a refreshing tale due to the inclusion of several noted nineteenth century historical figures. Readers will definitely enjoy how Stoker "researches" his classic DRACULA book. Fans of vampiric tales will want to read Tom HollandĘs latest offering and his previous novel, LORD OF THE DEAD: THE SECRET HISTORY OF BYRON because both are quite good.
